The American Finance Association works to improve understanding of financial issues by sharing ideas. The association is particularly interested in five areas: banking, corporate finance, investments, international finance, and public finance. Its members include professors of economics, bankers, financial institutions, and others who deal with financial issues. The association publishes the Journal of Finance five times a year.
